Frank Nitsche is one of the leading abstract painters of his generation in Germany, being one of the leading representatives of German postmodern abstract painting. His works are inspired by an imaginary archive of images, in which some reach the canvas by choice, others by chance. His paintings are always part of a bigger picture – variations of a performed graphic superficiality.
