Mathew Cerletty uses a variety of painting styles to bring significance to ordinary and unexpected subjects, presenting the familiar as peculiar. In his works there is an underlying sincerity in his attention to detail. Graduating in 2002 with a BFA from Boston University, his work has been exhibited in several museums worldwide, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
