Sol Calero explores themes of representation, displacement and identity through works which take the form of brightly coloured, large-scale installations with a makeshift quality, while her paintings and murals are populated by colourful patterns. Calero’s work draws upon visual clichés related to the popular image of Latin America, usually influenced by her own perspective as a migrant.
