What’s Up - The Americas gathers 50 emerging and established contemporary artists from North, Central and South America. The exhibition opens during the month of October at the Whiteley’s in London, a landmark building on Queensway, and will run through Frieze week until the first week of November. What’s Up – The Americas focuses on showing a variety of works by the respective artists and creates themes within the context of the exhibition. For example, showcasing a monumental work of Thiago Rocha Pitta with smaller works of the artists will enable viewers to grasp the effect the artists has not often been able to reveal in Europe being Brazilian. Furthermore, three diverse works of Adam Pendleton leads this new generation of American contemporary artists alongside Landon Metz, Joseph Hart, and Eliza Douglas for example. However, the exhibition also reveals works by American masters Larry Bell, DeWain Valentine and Marilyn Minter.
