Currently living and working in Toronto, Canada, Willy Le Maître investigates the phenomenology of seeing. His stereoscopic, lenticular prints come from a repository of captured photographs. Combining moments through association and layering one vivid snapshot upon another, the works shift and tremble as though recalling a passing moment. Le Maître insists that stereoscopy has the ability not only to mirror the function of eyesight, but to open us up to possibilities that were only previously visible in the mind's eye.
